What is Internship Connect?
  • Internship Connect is the Career Center’s dynamic and exciting annual event that brings together art and design world professionals and RISD undergraduate and graduate students from all academic disciplines.

  • This event is focused on meaningful networking and information sharing that will support students in applying and obtaining internships in 2024.

  • Employers who are interested in reviewing portfolios are also encouraged to attend the Career Center’s annual spring event held in March, the Design Portfolio Review.

What can I expect at the event?
  • Internship Connect brings together 400+ students to meet and network with 70+ companies and organizations in career fair format.

  • Students will be excited to introduce themselves, ask you questions and follow-up with you after the event via email and/or LinkedIn.

  • You are welcome to talk with students one on one, and/or also meet with small groups of 3-6 students to maximize your time and share the most important information about your opportunities.

  • Typical student questions at the event will include: the skills and portfolio work you look for, how to make a strong application, where to find your internship postings, the application deadline and the best way to follow-up with you.

  • This event is focused on networking and information sharing, not portfolio reviews.

  • Students will bring copies of their resume and may have a business card and/or portfolio sample to share with you.
